1950s French Army TAP 47/56 Lizard Camo Paratrooper Pants - 34”-37”

Original 1950s TAP 47/56 trousers, issued to French airborne troops (Troupes Aéroportées).

Unlike standard infantry utility wear, the TAP 47/56 is widely regarded as the pinnacle of cargo pant design. This pair retains its textbook, factory-spec straight wide-leg silhouette, complete with the original built-in drawstring at the hem to adjust the drape. Cut from a heavy herringbone twill (HBT), they feature the iconic, screen-printed horizontal 'Lizard' camouflage.

Key details include the distinctive multi-pocket layout with visible metal snaps, internal waist-adjuster tabs, and original military depot stenciling.

Please note that two of the metal snaps on the right rear pockets are no longer functional; we have left this completely original to preserve the historical integrity of the garment.

Sizing: Would fit a 34”-37" waist with buckles at the back to adjust as needed. Please see measurements for more accurate sizing.
